Qingping Zou joined Heriot-Watt University as a Professor of Coastal Dynamics at The Lyell Centre for Earth and Marine Science and Technology and Institute for Infrastructure and Environment in 2017. After her PhD, she worked at MIT-Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution and Johns Hopkins University in US, Dalhousie University and Bedford Institute of Oceanography in Canada. Prior to her current position, she was a Reader (equiv. of Full/Assoc. Prof.) at University of Plymouth in UK and tenure track Assistant Professor at the University of Maine in US.
