Yen Tran

I joined Heriot‑Watt University in September 2025, after completing my PhD in Finance at the University of Aberdeen. Before moving into academia, I worked in market research, trade promotion, and business strategy with the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency in Hanoi, Thanh Dat Seagoing Vessel, and the Vietnam Waterway Construction Corporation. These experiences continue to shape the way I think about finance and the questions I explore in my work.
