Biography

David Ong is an Assistant Professor at Edinburgh Business School, Heriot-Watt University Malaysia Campus. His research interests include corporate reporting and governance.

David teaches in the areas of financial reporting and Malaysian taxation. He is a Chartered Accountant of the Malaysian Institute of Accountant, a member of the Chartered Tax Institute of Malaysia and a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).

Background

Prior to joining Edinburgh Business School, David was an academic at a Malaysian private university, teaching both pre-university and undergraduate courses in the areas of financial reporting and management accounting. He had also held audit positions prior to his career in academia.
