Biography

Dr. Nur Dalilla Nordin is a researcher and educator specializing in AI-driven intelligent systems, machine learning, and automation, with applications in structural monitoring, robotics, and digital signal processing. Her work focuses on developing intelligent algorithms for real-time decision-making, predictive analytics, and industrial automation, bridging scientific advancements with real-world engineering challenges.

Her PhD research in machine learning for distributed fiber sensing laid the foundation for AI-enhanced structural health monitoring, contributing to early fault detection and predictive maintenance solutions. Since then, she has expanded her research into AI-driven automation and robotics, supervising multiple projects, including a Runner-Up-winning entry in the 2024 James Dyson Award.

Beyond research, she is deeply engaged in collaborative knowledge exchange and industry partnerships, ensuring that AI and automation technologies are scalable, industry-relevant, and impactful across multiple engineering domains.
