Martin has been the Global Chief Financial Officer at Heriot Watt University since his appointment in April 2024.
Biography
Martin Pringle is the Global Chief Financial Officer at Heriot-Watt University. He is responsible for all financial, taxation, capital, and investment activity across the University. Martin is an alumnus of Heriot-Watt, having graduated in Actuarial Mathematics and Statistics, and brings a wealth of industry experience and leadership skills to the role.
A qualified chartered accountant with over 25 years post qualified experience, he has worked in the financial services industry for a number of blue-chip companies such as Lloyds TSB, Scottish Widows, Assurant (a US Fortune 500 company) and latterly at Scottish Friendly. He has worked primarily in finance and risk management and is an experienced CFO and Board member.
