Biography
Dr Shereen Nassar is an Associate Professor in Logistics and Supply Chain Management. She is an active academic with solid teaching experience across the UK and Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. She is the global lead for logistics studies and leading the MSc logistics and supply chain management programmes for Dubai campus and online. She published journal articles and book chapters in areas related to Supply chain sustainability, digital technologies, and resilience. She developed strong ties with the business ecosystem mainly in the field of logistics and supply chain management. Shereen's external engagement and contribution to various industry forums in the MENA region were widely recognized and she received several academic and industry awards.
Shereen’s research endeavours and industry publications encompass a wide array of topics, including supply chain optimisation, risk management and resilience, sustainability and advanced digital business applications. Shereen has published a number of research papers and book chapters in areas such as automotive recall risk and social sustainable supply chain performance, sustainable maritime logistics, supply chain information security, contemporary disruptive business applications of blockchain technology and talent management in logistics.

Qualifications:
Shereen is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA). She obtained her PhD in 2012 from the School of Management, Bath University UK. Here thesis focussed on the role of advanced tracking technologies in enhancing supply chain visibility and sustainable competitive advantage.
