Biography
Annette is a seasoned workforce innovation professional with broad experience across Ireland’s skills and training landscape, delivering industry-led workforce solutions at both regional and national level.
At Limerick Chamber Skillnet, part of Skillnet Ireland, the national agency for workforce learning and development she led the Skills Connect Programme during the COVID‑19 pandemic, supporting workers to reskill and transition into emerging sectors. In parallel, she managed the Training Networks Programme, facilitating collaboration between businesses across multiple sectors and academia to identify shared skills needs and develop targeted, industry-relevant training solutions while overseeing programme delivery, financial management, and procurement.
Annette later joined ICBE Aviation Skillnet, a national training network supporting the aviation and aerospace sectors and promoted by the Irish Centre for Business Excellence. She worked closely with organisations across the aviation ecosystem and academia to address upskilling, reskilling and cross skilling requirement.
In 2023, Annette contributed to the establishment and delivery of the ICBE Future of Women in Aviation initiative, focused on advancing women’s participation and progression in the sector.
She returned to the Middle East in September 2023 to join Heriot‑Watt University Dubai, where she champions industry‑academic collaboration and contributes to executive education initiatives across a range of sectors.
