Biography
Annette is a seasoned professional in workforce innovation with extensive experience across Ireland. At the Limerick Chamber of Commerce Skillnet, part of Skillnet Ireland—the national agency for workforce learning and development—she led the Skills Connect programme during COVID-19, supporting workers in reskilling and transitioning into emerging sectors. She also oversaw the Training Networks Programme, a national initiative that brings businesses together to design and deliver training tailored to real workforce needs.
She subsequently joined Aviation Skillnet, a national training network supporting companies in the aviation and aerospace sectors, promoted by the Irish Centre for Business Excellence (ICBE). There, she focused on leadership development, organisational effectiveness, and future-focused skills, helping organisations align workforce development with evolving industry demands.
In 2023, Annette co-founded the Future of Women in Aviation initiative, increasing career visibility and opportunities for women in the sector before returning to the Middle East and joining Heriot Watt University Dubai in September 2023. Passionate about Knowledge Exchange, Annette champions collaboration between academia and industry, actively contributing to executive education initiatives across diverse sectors.
