Dr Mioara Cristea is an Associate Professor of Social Psychology at Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh. She is a researcher who currently studies why people believe in conspiracy theories and how these beliefs can affect society. Her work explores how misinformation spreads, why some groups get unfairly blamed during crises, and how extreme political views shape our thinking.
