Open Series 2025-26: Architecture x Critique

Every year, the Architecture team invites renowned regional and international architects, designers, and academicians to share their current projects and research. The Open Series is a public platform that brings together the design community, regional and international partners, and collaborators for a common knowledge exchange.

D6 Architecture Open Series 25-26 is excited to welcome Ruben Pelaez, Associate Director at Aedas, as our guest speaker. The theme for this session, “Architecture × Critique,” aims to create a space for reflection on architecture not only as a professional practice but also as a cultural, social, and political act. Through this lens, it will be explored how architecture shapes and is shaped by history, culture, and identity.

This event is open to Heriot-Watt students, recent graduates, and industry partners. The event will be held on campus and online via Microsoft Teams. This is a chance to gain insights from an industry leader. We look forward to welcoming you!
