Heriot-Watt University returns to Guardian’s top 30 universities list

Heriot-Watt University has broken into the UK's top 30 universities in the Guardian University Guide 2027.

The result marks the first time in nine years that Heriot-Watt has secured a place in the guide's top 30, underlining the University's commitment to delivering an outstanding student experience and strong graduate outcomes.

The ranking reflects continued progress across key measures including student satisfaction, teaching quality and career prospects, reinforcing Heriot-Watt's reputation as one of Scotland's leading universities.

The Guardian University Guide is one of the UK's most widely recognised higher education rankings and assesses institutions across a range of measures, including student satisfaction, teaching quality, staff-to-student ratios, spending on students, continuation rates and graduate career outcomes.

The University, which celebrates more than 200 years of educational excellence, has campuses in Edinburgh, the Scottish Borders, Dubai and Malaysia and is renowned for its global outlook and strong links with employers.
