I chose Heriot-Watt University Malaysia for its strong academic reputation and globally recognised UK curriculum. As a Mechanical Engineering student, I was seeking a programme that offers both rigorous technical challenges and practical preparation for the engineering industry, with a strong emphasis on analytical thinking, design application, and problem-solving. Through the Go Global programme, I spent an academic year studying in the UK, which broadened my perspective and strengthened my adaptability. Completing my final year in Malaysia allowed me to integrate that experience while remaining part of a diverse and supportive campus community. Studying in both countries has equipped me with strong technical competence, cultural awareness, and the confidence to pursue an international engineering career.
