Profile
Studying and living in Malaysia over the past three years has been both enjoyable and enriching. One of the things I appreciate most about studying at Heriot-Watt University Malaysia (HWUM) is how fast-paced and practical the courses are. Compared to universities back home in Indonesia, HWUM offers a more streamlined and focused path to a degree, allowing me to complete my undergraduate studies in just three years.
Culturally, Malaysia feels very familiar. The people, food, and lifestyle are quite similar to those in Indonesia, so I did not experience any major culture shock. HWUM also has a diverse student body, with students from various backgrounds and nationalities. It is a welcoming and global environment that truly broadens your perspective.
Another highlight of my experience was joining the two-week study tour to the Edinburgh campus — an unforgettable experience. Visiting during winter made it even more special, as the campus is both large and stunning. It is easily one of the best memories from my time at university.
Overall, my journey as a student in Malaysia has been filled with personal growth, academic learning, and meaningful experiences. I am truly grateful for all the opportunities I have had along the way.
