A Resounding Success
Our Malaysia campus recently hosted the Edinburgh Business School (EBS) Accounting Championship 2024, a premier nationwide competition held in conjunction with our Open Day on 3 August 2024. Attracting 900 participants from schools across Malaysia, this event showcased the brightest young talents in accounting.
The championship featured three challenging rounds: two online rounds (10-14 July and 18-22 July) and a final, face-to-face showdown on 3 August. Only the top 30 finalists advanced to our campus for the grand finale.
Ms Poh Yik May from Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Chan Wa, winners of the Educational Institution category, praised the competition as a valuable experience for students. Individual category winner, Tan Li Yen from Han Chiang High School, expressed gratitude for the chance to explore accounting deeply and win first place.

Competition Prizes
This year's championship offered RM2,000, RM1,000, and RM800 in cash prizes to the top three individuals, with additional rewards for the highest-scoring institutions.
Notably, all 30 finalists were honoured with an exclusive Edinburgh Business School Scholarship, providing a RM10,000 tuition fee waiver for our Foundation or EBS Undergraduate programmes.
