Profile
Tan Sri Tengku Muhammad Taufik is currently the President and Group Chief Executive Officer of Petroliam Nasional Berhad (PETRONAS).
He holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) Degree in Finance & Accounting from the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, Scotland. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), and a Member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA).
He currently oversees board stewardship in several PETRONAS subsidiaries and is on the board of various international and industry-related organisations. He is Co-Chairman of the World Economic Forum (WEF) Oil & Gas Governors Community, and the WEF ASEAN Leaders for Just Energy Transition Community. He is also the Pro-Chancellor of Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS.
In 2023, he was conferred the Darjah Kebesaran Panglima Setia Mahkota (P.S.M.) which carries the title “Tan Sri,” in recognition of his services to Malaysia.
