Fees refunds
Edinburgh Business School's Fee Refund Policy sets out clear, consistent, fair and reasonable conditions under which EBS will consider making refunds. It applies to applicants, students of EBS, and students studying on Heriot-Watt University programmes offered by EBS.

Goods and Services Tax
In line with other higher education Institutions, Heriot Watt University may be required to add Goods and Services Tax (GST) on top of certain programme fees where students study outside of the UK and where the country of study requires tax to be added to fees. The UK Government does not require us to levy GST (in the UK’s case VAT) on students studying credit bearing courses in the UK, but this is not the case in all overseas tax jurisdictions.
To date the University has absorbed these charges in the relevant jurisdictions.
The University will not back date any charges, but reserve the right to transfer these charges to students in the relevant jurisdictions in the future and will provide 3 months’ notice of the change to affected students. Any applicable charges will be shown clearly during the enrolment and payment process.
