Cristina Tealdi

Biography

Cristina Tealdi is currently an Associate Professor of Economics at Heriot-Watt University (Edinburgh, UK). She received her PhD in Economics from Northwestern University (USA) in 2011, with Prof. Mortensen (2010 Nobel Prize winner in Economics). Her main research interests include labour economics, the labour market effects of immigration, labour market regulation and institutions; program and policy evaluation, analysis of labour markets with job search frictions. Cristina Tealdi joined the IZA Institute of Labour as a Research Fellow in March 2019.

Background

Between 2011 and 2016 Cristina Tealdi worked as Assistant Professor of Economics at IMT Lucca, Institute of Advanced Studies, in Lucca (Italy). During her PhD, she worked as intern at The World Bank and she collaborated on a project funded by the Inter-American Development Bank.
