A scholarship is available for this PhD project, providing a 50% reduction in tuition fees for the full three- to four-year period of study, subject to satisfactory academic progress. The award is intended to support a strong doctoral candidate undertaking original design research into participatory AI, smart mobility and people-centred urban innovation in Dubai. Applicants will be considered for the scholarship as part of the selection process.
Eligibility
Applicants should demonstrate:
- A Master’s degree, normally with merit or distinction, in Design or a relevant discipline. R elevant research, professional, design or creative-practice experience.
- Strong written, verbal and visual communication skills.
- The capacity to work ethically and collaboratively with diverse participants and stakeholders.
- Experience of co-design, qualitative research, immersive media, AR/VR, AI, smart-city systems, autonomous mobility, public engagement or urban data would be advantageous.
