What appealed to you most about Heriot-Watt?
The long and rich history of the University is a key consideration. The flexibility to learn at my own pace as I have a full-time day job. Distance learning, with support from the University for online resources, is a plus as I can do my learning and research anytime and anywhere.
What’s your favourite memory of your time as a Heriot-Watt student?
The bittersweet days I juggled between research, work and family.
Tell us about your career since graduating from Heriot-Watt.
Following my graduation, I assumed the role as Head Corporate Services with the Traffic Police in the Singapore Police Force. In 2025, I successfully pivoted to the education sector, where I currently serve as a Vice Principal (Administration) with the Ministry of Education Singapore.
How has your Heriot-Watt education contributed to your success?
A strong focus on critical thinking has shaped me into a more strategic and focused professional, while my writing has become more analytical and evaluative. Sharpening these skills has enabled me to work with greater efficiency and impact.
What advice do you have for current students or anyone considering studying at Heriot-Watt?
You have chosen the long and difficult path to reach the apex of your education journey (DBA). Persevere but enjoy every moment.
