What’s your favourite memory of your time as a Heriot-Watt student?
Attending my graduation ceremony for my BBA with my parents, which I also completed through Heriot-Watt University, at the Edinburgh Campus.

Tell us about your career since graduating from Heriot-Watt?
At the time of my MBA graduation back in 2020 I was unemployed. Two months after graduation, I found employment at a Software Development Company as a Projects Administrator and was later promoted to the role of Project Manager, in software development. In August 2023, I have started a new role as an Instructional Designer, working on designing and generating content for online courses.

How has your Heriot-Watt education contributed to your success?
My MBA has provided me with extremely valuable knowledge that has tremendously improved my thinking on industry and economics. The principles and discipline I have gained has greatly improved my thinking approach and creativity in my job on a daily basis.

What advice do you have for current students or anyone considering studying at Heriot-Watt?
Heriot-Watt is a world-class institution based on excellence. I would recommend it to any prospective student. For current students I would advise: Always have a positive mind set, no matter the difficulties you may face. Always work hard, as success in your studies and career only comes with hard work.

What are your aspirations for the future?
For your career?

As I have transitioned into a new role, I wish to grow and advance my career within that role, developing my existing skills as well as learning new ones, and improving collaboration with my team.
For your local and wider community?
I am physically disabled, and I hope to be able to inspire others in my wider community with disabilities on how to succeed in their studies and career. I would like to provide advice to such students based on the lessons I have learned in my career as a disabled person.
