Information Services Induction

Undergraduate Students and Taught Postgraduate Students
All new students receive an introduction to Library and IT resources and services which provides the essential information you need to get started with your studies. Inductions are held at the start of the academic year and you can find out when yours is scheduled from your enrolment and induction timetable. You will also find lots of useful information in the Information Services Getting Started guide.
Research Postgraduate Students
Your librarian will contact you to invite you to meet with them to discuss the resources and services available to help with your research. You are also welcome to contact them directly.

Staff
All new staff will be invited to Belong at Heriot Watt event, where IS staff will be on hand to provide an overview of the support we provide for learning, teaching, research and professional services at the University.
Academic staff will be contacted by your librarian to discuss the resources and services available to help with your teaching and research. You are also welcome to contact them directly.
