The Robotics and Artificial Intelligence lab (RAI Lab) is part of the School of Engineering and Physical Sciences, at Heriot-Watt University, we are also part of the National Robotarium.

Our research focuses on a range of topics in the field of Robotics and Autonomous Systems (RAS), with a focus on safety and safe interaction between robots, people and their environments.

Postgraduate opportunities

Many of our robotics PhD research opportunities are eligible for funding. These are typically funded by the SPADS CTS and the CDT-D2AIR.
