Engineering and Physical Science Alumni

The School prioritises the future of our students, through industry-relevant and modern curriculums, ensuring our students become highly employable upon graduation. Our graduates have always enjoyed an excellent reputation for their employability, and whilst many progress into careers in science and engineering, there is great demand in other professions, including the financial sector and in general management, because of their training and abilities in quantitative problem-solving and analytical skills.

Our graduates have an excellent recrod of successful careers. Recent graduates from the School of Engineering and Physical Sciences have progressed into careers with start-ups, local, national, and international companies and corporations. Notable employers include Leonardo, Charles River, Babcock International Group, Schlumberger, Scottish Power, Atkins, BAE Systems, Diageo, PwC, and Rolls-Royce. Many graduates have gone on to academic careers with universities, and public sector roles with local councils and national governments.

The specialist knowledge and transferable skills our graduates gain whilst studying with us, reflect in above average salaries. 15 months after graduation, our alumni earn up to £110,000, with our average undergraduate student earning £32,106 and our average postgraduate student earning £35,411.
