K. Zhubanov Aktobe Regional University Kazakhstan

Launched by the President of Kazakhstan in 2023, the mission of the Heriot-Watt University and K. Zhubanov Aktobe Regional University strategic partnership is two-fold: to deliver high quality higher education to national demand, producing graduates of international standing to meet industry requirements and to cooperatively create international best practice and standing in higher education.

Heriot-Watt and Zhubanov University are further committed to work together to increase research capabilities, industry collaboration, further engagement with teaching and learning, and opportunities for staff and student exchange.

The strategic partnership currently offers four-year double degree undergraduate programmes in BEng Electrical and Electronics Systems, BEng Petroleum with Transition Engineering, and BSc Computational Sciences with Software Engineering.
