A partnership spanning over 20 years built on successful academic to academic collaboration supported in part by Research Councils UK. The partnership has seen engagement between hundreds of students, academic and professional staff over the years.

The collaboration was extended into teaching and learning when a joint BEng Telecommunications Engineering programme was launched in 2013. This provides students with the opportunity to study split site on a four-year dual degree programme.

In September 2025, partners will launch a new dual degree undergraduate programme, BSc Data Science & Software Engineering, which marks another milestone in the history of the partnership. The four-year, split site programme will ensure further connections can grow between the two institutions.
