Responding to the climate crisis requires action from all of us across how we live, study and work. Environmental sustainability is a key strategic performance indicator for Heriot-Watt, reflecting our commitment to aligning University activities with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and exceeding statutory environmental requirements.
Our Climate Action Framework details the progress the University has made so far across our Scotland, Malaysia, and Dubai campuses, including a 35% reduction in emissions since 2014. Through Community Engagement and Partnerships, our university-wide initiatives are shaping a future of Global Environmental Sustainability.
