Our research: a driving force for new knowledge
The Centre for Sustainable Road Freight (SRF) is the primary research centre within Heriot-Watt’s Logistics Research Centre. The SRF is a partnership between Heriot-Watt University and the University of Cambridge which merges our expertise in Logistics and Supply Chain Management with their Department of Engineering. The aim of this joint-research project is to find engineering and organisational solutions that will help leading partners within the road freight sector meet the UK Government’s emissions reduction targets for road freight. This work, as well as other cutting-edge, data-driven research has played a central role in the development of this programme.
