Your guests/ tickets
Graduands do not require a ticket for the ceremony but they will be expected to register and collect a seating card when they arrive at the venue.
If you are attending the reception you and your guests will require a ticket.
Guest tickets can be ordered via the online graduation application for all ceremonies. Please note guest tickets are not posted out, all ordered guest tickets can be picked up on the day of your ceremony.
For the Summer 2020 graduation ceremonies, guest tickets are capped at three per graduand.
Please ensure that you explicity state the number of tickets (0, 1, 2, 3) you require when you order.
It will not be possible to purchase extra tickets at the graduation venue. Please do not arrive for your graduation with extra guests on the day of your ceremony.
Note: all guests should retain their tickets for the duration of the graduation ceremony and to permit access to the reception afterwards. You may be requested to show your ticket at any time.
Refund Policy: Please note that refunds will not be given after 28 May 2020
There is no guarantee that extra guest tickets will become available for any of the summer 2020 graduation ceremonies.
If extra tickets do become available, the website will be updated no earlier than Monday 15 June to advise which ceremonies have available tickets for purchase on a 'first come, first served basis'*, until Thursday 18 June 2020.
*only applies to students who applied before the deadline date of Thursday 28 May.
How to order extra tickets for the graduation ceremony
Information on how to order extra tickets will be available from Monday 15 June.
Children are welcome to attend, however you should note that graduation ceremonies may not be suitable for very young children, your party may be asked to sit at the end of an aisle or near an exit so that the child can be taken outside should they become restless. If children 5 or under require their own seat, a ticket must be requested for them.
If you or your guests have special requirements, e.g. a wheelchair user, vision/hearing impaired or claustrophobic, or if they have very young children, please indicate this in the special arrangements section of online graduation application. Please note that only Guide Dogs, Hearing Dogs and Assistance Dogs are permitted on campus.
Guests with mobility issues
It would be helpful if anyone bringing guests with mobility problems could inform Gayle Poddubecki in advance of the ceremony: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Food and Drinks
Please note that food and hot drinks are not permitted in the graduation ceremony venue.
If you wish to invite your relatives to the UK for your graduation ceremony you will find more information on our Visa and Immigration webpage.
