Student Emergency Support Fund
The University knows that many of our students face extra financial difficulties because of the coronavirus crisis. We have created the Student Emergency Support Fund to help those who are most in need during this extremely challenging time.
If you are in urgent need of financial support as a direct result of the coronavirus crisis, we may be able to help with a grant towards living costs such as food, power and phone top-up and unexpected costs related to remote learning.
This fund provides for small emergency payments to help students who are in crisis and struggling with unexpected costs or facing hardship as a result of the current pandemic. £50 or local currency equivalent will be awarded. For cases where a larger grant may be appropriate you should submit a hardship application.
Please note the fund is discretionary and limited, and it is not for tuition fees.
Am I eligible?
To be eligible you must:
- be an enrolled student at the University.
- show us evidence of your financial hardship
- demonstrate that this has been caused by the coronavirus outbreak.
