Funded by Santander

The Careers & Graduate Futures Service is launching virtual internships with charities and not for profit organisations and hope to have some exciting new opportunities in the coming weeks.

The Virtual Internship Scheme has been set up with funding from Santander during the COVID 19 pandemic to give Heriot-Watt University students and recent graduates (within two years of graduation) the opportunity to volunteer with not for profit organisations and charities.  In addition to opportunities we advertise, these internships are open to students who may already be volunteering or who find their own volunteering placements.

Internships will be paid at £10 per hour (up to a maximum of £200) by the Scheme to cover subsistence costs and the internships will be undertaken from your home, from wherever you live. Interns will need to use your own laptop for the internship.  If you have any queries or would like to discuss further please contact Karen Beattie at
