Heriot-Watt University offers several ways to pay tuition fees, accommodation fees and other invoices:
Online payment with Flywire
Heriot Watt University has partnered with Flywire to accept cards, bank transfers, e-wallets and online payments, including China Union Pay, from students worldwide.
Payment options
Cards and payment methods accepted include: Mastercard, Visa, American Express, Alipay, UnionPay, Pix, PayPal, JCB, WeChat Pay, Trustly, ICICI Bank, Boleto, HDFC Bank and Diners Club International.

Online payment with Convera
International students can pay their fees using Heriot-Watt University’s payments platform powered by our partner Convera. This platform allows you, your parents and sponsors to pay GBP student fees in the currency of your choice and provides you with a simple and secure way to initiate a payment.
Payment options
Payment methods accepted include: Alipay, India NetBanking, ChinaPay, Hana Bank, ICICI Bank, Malaysia Online Banking, POLI, Trustly, UnionPay, Sofort, iDEAL.

How does it work?
Simply select the country you are paying from, the amount you wish to pay and your preferred method of payment. Enter your student details and payer details (if different). If you choose to pay via bank transfer, use the payment instructions provided to make your payment through your bank (at branch, online or via phone). If you select an online payment option, you will be redirected to complete your payment.

Using the online payment system as:
- Applicants (students who have not yet enrolled) can use the online payment system to pay an advanced instalment for tuition fees or an accommodation reservation fee. Please note: you can only pay an accommodation reservation fee if you have an unconditional firm offer.
You need the following information to log in:
- HWU person ID: It can be found on your confirmation letter A190 (UCAS applicants) or offer letter (all other applicants). The number is eight or nine characters long, and begins with the digit 0 or the letter D or H.
- Year of entry: The academic year is shown on either your acceptance letter A190 (UCAS applicants) or offer letter (all other applicants).
- Programme code: A mixure of eight characters and numbers (for example, A111-BRD). It is shown on your acceptance letter A190 (UCAS applicants) or offer letter (all other applicants). UCAS applicants may use the four-character UCAS course code (for example, NM23) instead.
