Election from the Schools to the Senate

Voting took place in three Schools and at close of voting on 30 May, the position was:

School of Energy, Geoscience, Infrastructure and Society	Five candidates stood for three vacancies	One new Senator:Two Senators re-elected for a second term:	Dr Sandhya Patidar Dr Gabriela Medero Dr Jingsheng Ma
School of Engineering and Physical Sciences	Nine candidates stood for five vacancies	Nine candidates stood for five vacancies Five new Senators:	Dr Christopher Dodd Mr Amos Haniff
Edinburgh Business School	Three candidates stood for three vacancies	Three new Senators:	Mr Shai Davidov Dr William Wallace Mr Gerry Reilly
School of Mathematics and Computer Sciences	Two candidates stood for two vacancies	Two new Senators:	Dr Verena Rieser Dr Catherine Donnelly

The Senators named above shall serve from 1 August 2016 to 31 July 2019;
Ordinance C1 governs these elections, which are run under the auspices of the Secretary of the University;
The ‘constituencies’ for these elections reflected the movement of colleagues resulting from the disestablishment of the School of Life Sciences;
The Single Transferable Voting System was used for these elections;
