Digital Learning Forum

The Digital Learning Forum (DLF) is a formal sub-group of the University Committee for Learning and Teaching (UCLT) in order to take a strategic approach to developing the learning and teaching digital environment on an institution-wide level.  The DLF reports to the UCLT via the Student Learning Experience Committee (SLEC).

The purpose of the DLF is to act as a group which is strategically aligned to and will feed into the Learning and Teaching Strategy 2019-2025; and will   provide  direction in and makes recommendations around all strands of digital learning and assessment, including:

  • the virtual learning environment (efficacy; maintenance; enhancement) and supporting systems;
  • audio-visual and multimedia capabilities;
  • software and technology to support learning and teaching
  • learning spaces
  • online resources
  • feedback and assessment
  • learner analytics

The DLF is Chaired by Kathy McCabe (Global Director of Information Services) and has representation from all five campuses.  There are also several student representatives from Dubai, Malaysia and Scotland representing the views of the Schools.
