University Teaching Excellence Awards

Each year, the University offers Teaching Excellence Awards to Schools and to either of the University’s Foundation Programmes (Degree Entry Programme, Dubai and the Malaysia Foundation Programme, Malaysia).

University Award for Teaching Innovation

The University Award for Teaching Innovation is awarded to an individual or team who, in the view of the panel, has:

  • demonstrated successful innovation in curriculum design, content, assessment or feedback which has supported students in their acquisition of the University’s Graduate Attributes
  • demonstrated successful deployment of innovative delivery methods (e.g. digital learning technologies)
  • worked collaboratively to promote innovative approaches to learning and teaching within their discipline area and/or across the University.

University Award for Global Learning and Teaching

The University Award for Global Learning and Teaching is awarded to the individual or team who, in the view of the panel, has made a significant contribution to:

  • the development and delivery of courses with identical learning outcomes across campus locations
  • the enhancement of global student learning experiences
  • cross campus collaborative working

Foundation Programme University Award for Teaching Innovation

The Foundation Programme University Award for Teaching Innovation is awarded to the individual or team who, in the view of the panel, has:

  • demonstrated successful innovation in curriculum design, content, assessment or feedback which has supported students in their acquisition of the University’s Graduate Attributes
  • demonstrated successful deployment of innovative delivery methods (e.g. digital learning technologies)
  • worked collaboratively to promote innovative approaches to learning and teaching within their discipline area and/or across the University
