Technology-Enhanced Mathematical Science Education
What we do
Founded in 2020, the Technology Enhanced Mathematical Sciences Education Group brings together a growing community of scholars across the Departments of Mathematics and Actuarial Mathematics and Statistics. We work closely with the Technology Enhanced Mathematical Sciences Education Group at the University of Edinburgh as part of the Maxwell Institute.
We undertake research and scholarship across a range of research areas within HE mathematical sciences education. Our interests include assessment, use of technology, flipped classroom and alternative grading approaches.
The group is committed to enhancing learning and teaching in HE mathematical sciences and serves to support colleagues to develop their teaching practice in collaboration with the Heriot-Watt University Learning and Teaching Academy (LTA).
