British Science Week

Brownies and robots

British Science Week (BSW) is a 10-day celebration of all things science, technology, engineering and maths, taking place across the UK each March.

Heriot-Watt academics and researchers are involved in activities with local schools each BSW, sharing their passion and enthusiasm for science and technology.

British Science Week is celebrated across Heriot-Watt, with activities such as smartphone microscope workshops, biology-inspired art, and coding and robotics. Our researchers shine the spotlight on how science, technology, engineering and maths relate to our everyday lives and helps to inspire the next generation of scientists with fun and participative activities.

If you are a Heriot-Watt researcher interested in being involved in BSW, or a school or youth group, contact the HW Engage team for more information.
