Jürgen has been working at Heriot-Watt since 2003 and his current role is managing the Research Support Office in the School of Social Sciences at the Edinburgh Campus.
He joined the University Court in 2020 and has since served on various sub-committees of Court: Governance and Nominations Committee (2020-2021), Finance Committee (since 2021) and the Chair of Court Selection Committee (2022).
His career has focused on the financial services and higher education sectors, mainly in professional specialist and team manager roles. He has qualifications in Lean Six Sigma Training Yellow Belt, organisational behaviour and a Diploma in Catechesis from the Archdiocese of St Andrews and Edinburgh.
Jurgen’s wider interests include Scottish culture and classical music.
