Over the past two decades, Dr Ghaith has served at different positions in academia as well as industry. He is the Head of the School of Engineering and Physical Sciences at Heriot-Watt University, Dubai Campus. He has been a University Senate member since 2015. He joined the University Court in 2018 and has been a member of many University Court Committees.

Fadi is a Fellow and Chartered Engineer in the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (CEng FIMechE), Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA), Professional Engineer (PE) and Consultant Engineer (CE) in Jordan Engineers Association as well as a Fellow of the Association of Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineers (AMAE). Fadi has a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals.

Fadi is Head of the School of Engineering and Physical Sciences in Dubai. His research includes dynamic modelling and simulation of fluid-structure interaction (FSI) systems and applications in oil drilling and heat exchangers as well as heat recovery from exhaust systems in Gas Turbines and design of solar powered cooling systems in residential buildings.

Fadi’s wider interests include soccer, table tennis, meteorology and exploring nature.
