Undergraduate Open Days: Edinburgh Campus
Edinburgh open days will resume in 2020
Our Edinburgh campus open days have finished for 2019, and will resume in summer 2020. Check back in the spring for more information and dates. In the meantime, you can still take one of our student-led guided tours.
More about open days
An open day gives you the opportunity to immerse yourself in the university experience and discover more about the subject(s) you are interested in studying.
You can meet with staff and students to find out how your chosen subject is taught at Heriot-Watt and explore our beautiful 380-acre Edinburgh campus to get a feel for what student life has to offer here.
Our campus will be buzzing with activities and events and it’s your chance to find out as much as you can about Heriot-Watt University, alongside people who may even become some of your closest friends during your studies here. Prepare to be inspired and get excited about your Higher Education options!

Travel, arrival and check-in
Our open days run from 10am till 3pm. The best way to travel to our open day is by public transport or by car and you can plan your journey in advance.
Heriot-Watt University staff and students will be here to help you. On arrival you will be greeted by our student ambassadors who will be easy to spot in their red t-shirts. Please make your way to the welcome marquee outside the main entrance reception where you can collect your open day bag with a printed event programme for the day.
Remember to either download or print your ticket so that our open day helpers can check you in. Since there is so much to see and do, a comfortable pair of shoes would be useful so you can explore our campus fully.
