Robotarium event

We are delighted to invite you, as a member of our valued alumni community, to an exclusive in-person reception at the National Robotarium. Based on Heriot-Watt’s Edinburgh Campus, this £22.4m state-of-the-art facility is the UK’s centre for Robotics and Artificial Intelligence.

Join us on Thursday 30 March from 6-8.30pm to hear from senior leaders at The National Robotarium - Stewart Miller, Chief Executive, Lisa Farrell, Business Development Manager and Professor Yvan Petillot, Co-academic Lead.

You will find out more about the new facility and learn how it's utilising cutting-edge science and technology to create innovative solutions that help industry and society be safer, healthier and more productive. The specialist, high-spec labs encompass three distinct research and development areas - Robotics and Autonomous Systems (RAS), Human-Robot Interaction (HRI) and Precision Laser Applications (PLA). There will also be opportunities to take part in a self-guided exhibition, watch demonstrations, and hear from members of the National Robotarium delivery and research teams.

Attendees will also hear about our pioneering research in Robotics and Artificial Intelligence, and network with fellow alumni, senior leaders from the National Robotarium and Heriot-Watt, and industry partners.

Please note that there are no parking facilities at the National Robotarium, other than some disabled parking bays. All other parking is at Car Park I (approximately five minutes’ walk away).

Please sign up using the registration form below. If you have any questions, please email watt.club@hw.ac.uk.

We very much hope you can join us!
