Teaching Technician (Weave/Yarn and Maintenance)

I am currently a Teaching Technician, specialising in weave and yarn. I demonstrate and advise students on warping, drawing, and weaving on weaving machines. I also teach students on the technical notation required for production looms.

I support Academic staff with the delivery of courses and research activity at Undergraduate and Postgraduate levels.

Background

My background is working as a Textile Engineer, using mechanical and technological aspects of all textiles machinery and fabric structures.

I have undertaken a Master degree with the School of Textiles and Design which was done in partnership with a Textiles Mill in Huddersfield. 

Currently, I am a PhD Student – part time - at School of Textiles and Design.
