What has impressed you most about Heriot-Watt?

I’ve found the University to be forward thinking and very responsive – it feels progressive in its outlook and approach and the staff truly want to help you to succeed. It deserves its great reputation both academically and regarding the student experience, plus the facilities here are fantastic.

What has been your experience of doing an undergraduate degree here?

I really feel there is a focus on developing your employability and genuinely broadening your horizons. The School was highly responsive to my desire to study abroad, helping me to transfer to Paris for a year, which was an amazing experience. It definitely offers an international outlook and real opportunities to engage with industry.

How is your experience here helping you on your chosen career path?

Right now I’m still considering my options, which my experience here has made me realise are much wider than I might have hoped for. I’m head of the Economics Society which is great for meeting people – not just from on Campus but across the UK through events we organise. Through this, and my course, I’m building relationships which help in thinking about the bigger picture. I might undertake a Masters and my tutors here are supporting me to explore various options.
