Why study Construction Project Management and Quantity Surveying at Heriot-Watt?
In year 2, students can participate in Constructionarium, where they work alongside professional engineers and tradesmen to construct scaled down versions of bridges, buildings, dams and more from around the world.
In year 3, students have the opportunity to join the Culture of External MENToring (CEMENT) scheme, which links students with professionals in practice to offer work placements, graduate employment opportunities and site visits.
Students also have the option to study at our Malaysia campus via our Go Global programme and field trip opportunities to a European city to view the structure and architecture of local buildings.

This graduate apprenticeship is fully accredited by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) meaning that apprentices are on a pathway to becoming Chartered construction professionals. Depending on the individual's career development, this is most likely to be through the Quantity Surveying and Construction pathway or the Project Management pathway.
