Overview

Edinburgh Business School’s online MBA programme is academically rigorous and intellectually challenging; it is designed to equip you with the skills and knowledge you need to progress in your career.

Ideal for the working professional, the MBA gives you the opportunity to choose where, when and how you complete the programme’s seven core courses and two electives.

The courses cover key relevant management disciplines, including people skills, economics, marketing, accounting, finance, strategic planning and project management.

Programme duration

Approximately 200 study hours per course.


Course content

The MBA programme covers various areas of management, which will give you the skills and knowledge you need to progress in your career.

The programme comprises of seven core courses, and two electives.

Core courses

The core courses are:

  • Accounting
  • Economics
  • Finance
  • Marketing
  • Organisational Behaviour
  • Project Management
  • Strategic Planning

Each of the courses is assessed by a three-hour examination. Pass these and join our global network of EBS graduates and business professionals.

Entry requirements

Typically you will hold a recognised first or second class honours degree, or equivalent professional qualification. But for those who don’t, entry can still be gained by passing three MBA courses one of which must be a core course.
