How do I apply?

The online graduation application system for attendance at our Summer 2024 ceremonies will open on 16 April 2024. The deadline date for applications is Friday 17 May 2024. Late applications will not be accepted,

Current students

Former students (2011-present)

If you were eligible to graduate in Winter 2023 or earlier and have not yet made an application to graduate, please log in via the following link: Student Self Service (former).

Former students (pre-2011)

If you were eligible to graduate prior to 2011 and you have not yet made an application to graduate, please complete this our Pre-2011 Graduation Application Form.

Application eligibility criteria

In order to be eligible to apply you must meet the following criteria:

Be in your final year of study;
Have been granted authorisation to apply (PGR only); or
Have had notification of your award.

It is essential in many cases to apply to graduate before you receive formal notification of your results. However, if you have made an application but do not subsequently receive an award decision you will not be eligible to graduate.

For current students, If you do not receive notification of your award by 7 June 2024 (23:59 UK time), you will not graduate this Winter. Your application will automatically become void and you will be refunded any monies paid. This also applies to applications to graduate in absentia.

The Edinburgh Business School

If you studied online with the Edinburgh Business School on the following programmes you need to apply via the EBS Global portal:

MBA (general MBA and specialisms)
MSc in Financial Management
MSc in Marketing
MSc in Strategic Planning
MSc in Human Resource Management
PGCert in Research Methods
DBA

All students who use the Edinburgh Business School Global portal will be contacted about graduation registration by the school in due course.
