Eligibility to graduate
It is essential in many cases to apply to graduate before you receive formal notification of your results. However, if you have made an application but do not subsequently receive an award decision you will not be eligible to graduate.
If you do not receive notification of your award (via online results, assessment results letter or letter of award) by 18 October 2019, you will not graduate this Winter. Your application will automatically become void and you will be refunded for any monies paid. This also applies to applications to graduate in absentia.
Please make sure you settle any outstanding debts by Thursday 24 October 2019.
Appealing against your award
If you submit an appeal following confirmation of your award, you will no longer be eligible to receive that award on the original award date you were notified of, even if you have applied to graduate. This rule also applies if the appeal is concluded before the original award date. Once the appeal has been concluded, you will be put forward to the next available award date.
