How to apply
If you are a current undergraduate student, you must have completed one full year of study before you can do an inter-campus transfer, and:
- Your degree programme must be available at the campus you wish to transfer to (see below).
- You must pass all exams and assessments to enable you to progress to the academic year in which you intend to transfer. If you have a resit, you will normally not be eligible.
- You must not have any outstanding debts to the University, such as tuition fees or accommodation fees.
UK students cannot normally transfer for their final year of study, due to funding restrictions from SAAS and Student Finance England/Wales/Northern Ireland. Please contact email@example.com for more information.
Students on postgraduate taught Masters programmes should contact the Go Global Team on firstname.lastname@example.org as applications are assessed on a case-by-case basis.
Apply now for Semester 2
If you are an eligible undergraduate, you can apply now for temporary or permanent transfers for Semester 2 (January 2020) using the MyHWU – Inter-Campus Transfer application on Student Self Service.
The deadline for applying normally varies with campus, but in this case it is the same for all our campuses: Sunday 6 October 2019.
Please note, applications for 2020/21 campus transfers will open at the beginning of February 2020.
Check undergraduate eligibility
Please use the undergraduate eligibility checker below to find out at which Heriot-Watt Campus your degree programme or related degree programmes are currently available. If your programme is available at a Campus you wish to apply to transfer to, you should be eligible to apply for an Inter-Campus Transfer.
