Get Ready for Success at HWU

What is Get Ready for Success?

Get Ready for Success is an exciting opportunity for students to get a head start at university. Many students find the move to university challenging, and Get Ready for Success can help to make the transition easier by allowing you to find out about the University in advance. Participation is free and Get Ready for Success runs over three days at the Edinburgh Campus from Tuesday 27 to Thursday 29 August, just before Welcome Week: 2 to 6 September 2024.

Here are some quotes about Get Ready for Success from students who participated in the programme last year.

I enjoyed meeting new and current students. Getting a small head start definitely has had a huge impact on how I feel about starting university.

What I found useful about Get Ready for Success were Careers and financial advice, tours of the campus and learning about the student ambassadors own experiences.

Get Ready for Success offers the opportunity to make friends and many connections early on.

Get Ready for Success helped me in in getting a head start on how things work e.g. library, services, timetables.
