UK campus students
International Student Advice (Global Student Office)
Our Global Student Office (GSO) provides advice and assistance to international students based at one of our UK campuses. If you have any concerns or queries, our staff will be happy to help you. They can provide a wide range of information and support, from immigration advice to welfare issues.
GSO has close links with all academic Schools within the University across all of its campuses, and with support services such as Recruitment and Admissions (International Recruitment Section), Student Wellbeing Services, and the University Chaplaincy.
GSO has two Global Student Advisers and three Global Student Assistants who can provide you with support and advice. You can attend one of our daily drop-in sessions to talk with a Global Student Assistant. If you query is more complex, a one-to-one appointment with a Global Student Adviser will be arranged.
GSO is based in the Student Service Centre (SSC) in the Hugh Nisbet Building on the Edinburgh Campus. You'll find the office within the Student Service Centre.
The Student Service Centre is open 09:30 to 16:00 during semester time. Please call in to find out the current drop-in sessions for the Global Student Office.
