PhD project: Marine renewable energy modelling.

Mathematical and numerical modelling of coastal and near-shore hydrodynamics:

  • representation of sub-mesoscale flow and random variation using continuum methods;
  • simulation of tidal energy extraction;
  • application of SUNTANS code to Pentland Firth and Orkney waters.
