Researchers from around the country got together to showcase the excellent work being done in Scotland in the area of Human-Computer Interaction.

The 2015 SICSA Pre-CHI meeting was an all-day event held at the Heriot-Watt Post Graduate Centre on Tuesday 14th April 2015 and followed on from the successful event held in Glasgow last year.

Attended by around 30 researchers the day provided an opportunity for researchers to practise the talks they will present at the CHI 2015 conference in front of a friendly audience, and get feedback before their main presentations in Seoul. There was also a poster session over lunch giving the opportunity to presenters to talk to the attendees about their ideas.

The day also provided and opportunity for industry, students and those unable to attend the CHI conference to get an overview of the state-of-the-art research in HCI that is going on across Scotland.

The event was organised by Stefano Padilla and Mike Chantler. Full details of the event can be found here. You can see more photos of the event on our Flickr account.
